Vaaler Creek Golf Club

Happy New Year!  I hope that everyone enjoyed the holidays and was able to take advantage of the great weather.  We were very busy, which looks like the going trend.  The fairways and tee boxes are healthy and beautiful and the greens are picking up some speed, so bring your best short game.  We are trying to keep the greens around 10-10.5 on a stimp meter but with a lot of foot traffic like this last week they got up around 12.5, which makes for a lot of fun (especially when your friend is putting).

Mark your caledars for Super Bowl Sunday.  Kick-off on February 5th is scheduled for 5:30.  We are going to do a 10:00 shotgun start that morning which will be open to anyone so that everyone can get home (or to a party) with plenty of time.  We will do a special rate that day of $45.00 per person which will include the cart fees and taxes.  Call the pro shop to sign up.

As a reminder, we have started our "winter" hours so the first tee time each day is 8:30am except Tuesdays which doesn't start until 10:00am for maintenance purposes.

You may have already seen it in the October issue of Golfweek magazine, but we were just recognized as 19th on the "Best New Courses" list for the country.

Golf Club Sale

Starting on Friday we will be doing a great SALE on all the golf clubs that are in stock in the pro shop.  There is a large selection from Titleist, Adams Golf, TayorMade, Cleveland, and Ping.  Come by and get a great deal on irons, wedges, hybrids, woods, and putters!

Monthly Scramble

Our monthly 4-person scramble for January will be on Saturday the 21st with a shotgun start at 11:00am.  The cost is $40 per player which includes: green fee and cart, range balls, a drink ticket, prizes for on-course contests, prizes for the top 3 teams, and food after the round.  Each player has the option for two mulligans at $5 each and each one comes with an additional drink ticket.  To sign up please reply to this email or contact the golf shop.  You can even sign up a partial team or as an individual and we will try to pair everyone up into foursomes.

Stay and Play Packages

I'm sure that you've at least seen the outside of the condo complex as you're about to tee off on #10 (maybe you've accidentally even hit a ball that direction on #9), but if you haven't seen the inside of the condos yet you are missing out.  We have a few of the condos furnished for overnight stays.  It makes a great getaway for a couple or family and we have quite a few groups of 10-15 that make a golf vacation out of it.  CLICK HERE for more information and pictures.
