It looks like we might finally be getting out of the 100+ degree days and our course is in phenomenal condition. September is a truly great time of year to play golf in the Hill Country, so come out and enjoy the day on one of the few green golf courses in the area.

Over Labor Day weekend we will be offering the special rate of $55 per player with a $1 donation included in that price for Patriot Golf Day. All proceeds go to the Folds of Honor Foundation that provides scholarships to spouses and children of our military men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.  If you would like to donate more than one dollar please just let us know when you are checking in.

As you can see in the "Upcoming Events" to your right, September and October are very busy months for tournament groups, so please make sure that you make your tee times well in advance.

MONTHLY SCRAMBLE

Our monthly scramble for September will be on Saturday the 10th with a 9:00 shotgun start.  The cost will be $40 per player and will include: green fee and cart, a drink ticket, prizes for on-course contests, prizes for the top 3 teams, and food after the tournament.  Please contact the golf shop to register or just reply to this email (you can even sign up a partial team and we will try to pair everyone up into foursomes).

CA$H FOR CANCER

Our season headliner for the Cash For Cancer tournament series is coming up on the 24th of this month.  This is a 2-person team event and this month will be a 2-person scramble with BIG PAYOUTS.   This tournament series benefits the ThriveWell Cancer Foundation for research and assistance.  This month's tournament will cost $125 per player.  There will be a $6,000 CASH purse if we have a full field of 50 teams, which would be split into 4 flights.  The tournament will take place on Saturday the 24th with a shotgun start at 9:00am.  Please contact the golf shop for more information or to sign up.

FREE CLINICS FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS

Our teaching professional, Mark "Hendo" Henderson, will be conducting free clinics for our members and guests every Saturday morning for ladies only from 9:00 to 10:30 and every Sunday morning for all adults from 9:00 to 10:30.  Each weekend will feature a different aspect of improving your golf game.  The summer session of clinics will be ending on September 25th, so come take advantage while you can.  To attend the clinic(s) you just need to show up a little early to get registered.  If you would like more information please contact the golf shop.

SKINS GAME

We host a weekly skins game on Monday mornings.  We will not utilize any handicaps for this tournament--just come out and make as many birdies as possible.  The skins game will cost $20 cash ($16 goes to skins and $4 goes to c.t.p. contests) and then $20 to cover the green fee and cart fee.  So, it's just $40 to play and you have the chance to make some cash.  There will also be an optional cash pool for medalist on the front, back, and total for an additional $6.  Tee times will start every Monday at 10:00.  Please call the golf shop during the weekends or up until 9am on Monday morning to sign up.
