Just another month or so until we start getting some relief from the heat (hopefully).  Despite the high temperatures and lack of rain, we still have the course in great condition.  Plus, it's always a little nicer out here in the summertime with the higher elevation and the cooling Hill Country breezes. 

MONTHLY SCRAMBLE

Our monthly scramble for August will be on Saturday the 13th with a 9:00 shotgun start.  The cost will be $40 per player and will include: green fee and cart, a drink ticket, prizes for on-course contests, prizes for the top 3 teams, and food after the tournament.  Please contact the golf shop to register or just reply to this email (you can even sign up a partial team and we will try to pair everyone up into foursomes).

FREE CLINICS FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS

Our teaching professional, Mark "Hendo" Henderson, will be conducting free clinics for our members and guests every Saturday morning for ladies only from 9:00 to 10:30 and every Sunday morning for all adults from 9:00 to 10:30.  Each weekend will feature a different aspect of improving your golf game.  To attend the clinic(s) you just need to show up a little early to get registered.  If you would like more information please contact the golf shop.

CA$H FOR CANCER

This is our second to last Ca$h for Cancer tournament for the year.  This is a 2-person team event and this month will be a 2-person scramble.  Next month is the final tournament for the year and will also be a 2-person scramble with BIG PAYOUTS.  This tournament series benefits the ThriveWell Cancer Foundation for research and assistance.  This month's tournament will cost $60 per player which is broken down like this: $10 to Thrive Well, $20 for green fee and cart, $8 for food and drink ticket, $2 for c.t.p. and long drive, and $20 for cash payout to the top teams.  This series of tournaments will culminate in a large tournament with great prizes at the end of the season.  Verifiable handicaps will be required and adjustments may be made from month to month.  This month's tournament will be on Sunday, August 28th with tee times starting at 9:00.

SKINS GAME

We host a weekly skins game on Monday mornings.  We will not utilize any handicaps for this tournament--just come out and make as many birdies as possible.  The skins game will cost $20 cash ($16 goes to skins and $4 goes to c.t.p. contests) and then $20 to cover the green fee and cart fee.  So, it's just $40 to play and you have the chance to make some cash.  There will also be an optional cash pool for medalist on the front, back, and total for an additional $6.  Tee times will start every Monday at 10:00.  Please call the golf shop during the weekends or up until 9am on Monday morning to sign up.
