April 1st, 2009
Construction on the front nine: Construction efforts continue to advance very well!! We planted the sprigs on #6 fairway on March 20th and it is starting to root down well. We are putting some extra sprigs on #5 green today to help ensure that playing conditions are up to par by the time we open it all up. Although we will be dependent upon the weather conditions this spring, we are aiming for the grand opening of all 18 holes to occur around July 4th, 2009.
(Above: Superintendent, Travis Vordick, oversees the watering of the freshly laid sprigs in #6 fairway) The bridge over the spillway near the golf shop was built a few months ago and the cart path connecting the golf shop to the front nine has been completed. Next time you come out to play, if you would like to ride the cart paths on the front nine and see the progress in person just let us know in the golf shop and we'll point you in the right direction. We continually update CONSTRUCTION PICTURES on the website, so check back often. WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS We are going to start hosting weekly 9-hole events.
